About This Event
The Healing Hub is inviting participants to join a special Rhythm of Life Workshop as part of professional training and case study research for the Professional Diploma in Group Sound Therapy with The British Academy of Sound Therapy (BAST).
This interactive group drum session uses rhythm, movement, and reflection to explore balance in everyday life. It is designed to help participants become more aware of the pace and patterns of their lives, and to experience how rhythm can be used therapeutically to support health, wellbeing, and emotional balance.
You are invited to explore where your own life rhythm may feel:
• Too fast or relentless — leading to stress or burnout.
• Too slow or repetitive — leading to low mood or isolation.
• Out of balance — creating a sense of disconnection or overwhelm.
What to expect during the session:
✨ A rhythm entrainment exercise to experience how the steady beat of a drum can shift your physical and mental state.
✨ Gentle movement to different drum tempos, exploring how rhythm affects the body and emotions.
✨ A reflective Rhythm of Life worksheet to help identify your predominant life rhythm.
✨ An introduction to “rhythm vitamins” — simple daily counter-rhythm practices that can help restore balance and support wellbeing.
Potential benefits may include:
• Reduced stress
• Improved mood and energy
• Greater body awareness
• A stronger sense of balance and connection
• A practical rhythm-based tool to support everyday wellbeing.
As this session forms part of professional training, participant will receive a reduced-cost session in exchange for reflective feedback, completion of a short questionnaire after the soundbath and support with case study portfolio.
